Avast is a huge popular antivirus product with a powerful malware detection engine and a lot of extra features including ransomware cover and a web fire wall and VPN assistance. Its malware detection score of 6 out 6 in our tests was outstanding and it did a great job of blocking access to phishing sites that slipped through Chrome’s and Firefox default security.
In our real-world tests, Avast was able to sort through almost two million discrete files in one full scan which is quite impressive considering that the program is comparatively light and efficient. Avast did not hinder system performance in any way during our speed tests. It was faster than many of its competitors who can take up to an hour to scan the same number of files.

This is a huge improvement over McAfee suite, which has all its features scattered among different applications.

For more complex issues, you can use an online ticketing system for help. The practices of data sharing are a concern, and it does not include parental controls or an account manager that can rival Bitdefender Total Security.
